PRELIMINARY DESIGN

The Preliminary Design stage is where we take the basic layouts and refine them into a more comprehensive and detailed design. Our engineers and designers work together to create a cohesive and harmonious design that incorporates all the necessary components and features.

This stage involves making decisions about the motorcycle's styling, ergonomics, and technical specifications, while ensuring that the design remains true to the original concept and meets the client's requirements. The preliminary design serves as a blueprint for the subsequent stages of development, guiding the engineering and manufacturing processes

KINEMATIC DYNAMIC ANALYSIS

  • SUSPENSION

    • TRIM / SQUAT

    • SPRING / DAMPING BALANCE

  • ACCELERATION / BRAKING

Kinematic/Dynamic Analysis optimizes motorcycle performance. We fine-tune suspension characteristics, including trim and squat behavior, and balance spring and damping rates. Our engineers also analyze acceleration and braking dynamics to ensure optimal handling and rider comfort under various conditions.

PLASTIC PARTS DEVELOPMENT

  •  STYLING

  • ENGINEERING

    • MATCHING AND FIXING STUDY

    • ASSEMBLY STUDY

    • CAS

    • CLASS A

Plastic Parts Development combines style and engineering. Our designers create attractive styling, while our engineers ensure perfect fit and functionality. We conduct matching and fixing studies, assembly analyses, and use Computer-Aided Styling (CAS) to refine the design. Finally, we achieve Class A surface quality for a flawless finish.

FRAME DEVELOPMENT

  • ENGINEERING 2D / 3D

  • STATIC FEM ANALYSIS

    • RIGIDITY

    • STRESS

    • FATIGUE

Chassis Development involves creating a strong and lightweight frame. Our engineers use 2D and 3D modeling to design the chassis, followed by Static Finite Element Analysis (FEM) to optimize its rigidity, stress distribution, and fatigue resistance. This ensures a high-performance, durable chassis that can withstand the demands of riding.

Seamless User Experience_01.png

Throughout this comprehensive engineering process, we maintain constant communication and actively involve our clients, ensuring their vision is seamlessly integrated into every stage of motorcycle development.

Technical Specifications.jpg

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

At Dedalos, we start the motorcycle engineering process by establishing a robust set of Technical Specifications. This stage includes a Competitors Study to analyze market trends and identify areas for innovation, as well as Analysis Reports to examine various aspects of the motorcycle's performance and design.

Using insights from these studies, we define key parameters such as engine specs, chassis dynamics, weight distribution, suspension setup, and braking system. We also factor in fuel efficiency, emissions, and regulatory compliance.

LAYOUT 2D  3D STAGE

In the Basic Layout 2D / 3D stage, our engineering team creates initial two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations of the motorcycle. These layouts serve as the foundation for the entire design process, establishing the basic geometry, proportions, and overall structure of the motorcycle.

By creating these layouts, we can visualize and refine the fundamental aspects of the design before moving on to more detailed development. This stage is crucial for ensuring that the motorcycle's design is feasible, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
